RainForest Robotics has experienced great success between the years 2015 and 2020. During this time our program included High School, Middle School, and Elementary students.
While the High School students compete in the VEX VRC challenge, and Elementary students in the VEX IQ challenge, Middle School students have the choice to do either of these challenges. All of our teams build their own robot and compete separately.
Collectively, the RainForest Robotics teams have experienced phenomenal success over the seasons—winning countless local and state tournaments; as well as having two teams finishing first of their division at the World Championship in the past years.
Our mission is to inspire students to become scientific leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills. The RainForest Robotics Program inspires innovation and fosters well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, responsibility, communication, and leadership. Our program encourages all members to participate in all aspects of preparing a robot for competition as robotics is a multidisciplinary field.
At RainForest, our mentors encourage professionalism–a mentality that strives towards high-quality work, dedication and emphasizes the value of others through respect of the people around them. While our teams compete against each other during tournaments, our entire program is established through the cooperation between different teams. Teammates push, cheer and encourage each other to achieve and exceed expectations. Students are able to learn and teach each other, allowing the teams to reach an even higher level of understanding, work, and success.
